The Legend of Forest Island

Once upon a time there was a Hippie Princess. She lived on an island with four forests. There was coconut forest, a waterfall forest, a mangrove forest and the Hippie forest, where the Princess and her friends lived.

They all were Artists, Writers, Acrobatics, Painters, Poets, handicraft talented people and Musicians. The companions of the artists were cats and dogs, who lived together in peace and harmony. There were not rich in money but they were rich by heart. The richest person was the Hippie Princess, who was actually not a real princess, but the community had choosed her to be the leader of the community and called her like that. She had the biggest and kindest heart of all of them; even she was the smallest person in height.

In the coconut forest lived the royal coconut family: a king, his beautiful queen and their handsome son, the prince. Their companions were Elephants, who helped the coconut farmers to harvest the magic coconuts. It was the richest forest by money because they sold the coconuts all over the world.

Deep inside the waterfall forest lived magic unicorns and deers together with Buddhist monks and nuns, who cared for them. It was the most peaceful of all forests. Many people all around the world came there to relax and to find the truth within them. But not everyone could see the magic animals. Only those who were in deep meditation and found true peace became magic and could see the unicorns and deers. After that, they never returned home again.

The mangrove forest was the wildest of all forests. Everyone was afraid to go there because it was ruled by wild monkeys. But also crocodiles lived there and fought again and again with the monkeys. It was a constant battlefield. In the trees there were the monkeys and in the water were the crocodiles. But nobody of them could remember the reason why the war has started; they all forgot it a long time ago.

One day the Hippie Princess had a discussion with her friends. They complained about the laziness of the Princess. The Friends always had to go to the coconut forest to get the magic coconuts. Only because of them, the hippie community was creative. The Hippie Princess never went to the coconut forest because she had to cross a river and she was afraid of water. But she never told her friends. On this day, she felt very guilty about this and didn’t want that their friends called her lazy. She also wanted to overcome her fear and she wanted to proof that she was not lazy. That’s why she decided to go to the coconut forest on her own to get some coconuts. Nobody knew about her decision except of her faithful companions: Toulouse, her cat, and Lilly, her dog, who joined the Princess to protect her.

It was a very long way, but she enjoyed the walk. Then she arrived at the river. In the middle of the river were three big stones she had to climb. But she was too small and could not reach them. Nobody told her this before and so she stood there for a while and thought how she could cross this obstacle. Suddenly the most handsome man she had ever seen came out of the water. The only thing he wore was a piece of cloth around his hips and nothing else. Her dog Lilly was very aggressive and barked at him and also Toulouse hissed. But the Hippie Princess immediately fell in love with the energy of the guy and gave the command to stop.

The handsome guy recognized her and the animals and walked towards them. But instead of greeting the Princess, the first thing he did was touching Lilly. Also he did cat sounds to attract Toulouse attention. The Hippie Princess felt at first ignored but then she smiled because she would have act the same.

Lilly and Toulouse enjoyed the attention from the handsome guy because they felt a warm and lovely energy around him. Then the Hippie Princess said: „Normally they don’t like strangers. But you seems to be an exception“.

The handsome guy answered without looking at her: „Well maybe I smell good. Or they like my magic hands!“
„Magic hands? “ The Hippie Princess asked curious. „Maybe you can help me with your magic hands to get on this stones. I want to cross the river. Can you lift me up please? “
The handsome guy stopped cuddling the pets and looked for the first time in the face of the Hippie Princess. He couldn’t believe his eyes: she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, shining bright like the sun with her simple red dress and a yellow scarf around her shoulders – the colors of the Buddhists. Was she a nun from the waterfall forest? He wondered.
„Yes of course I can help you. But I never saw you here before. What’s your name and why do you want to cross the river? You could also swim like me…“he asked friendly.
„Well it’s my first time here. Normally my friends cross the river and get the coconuts from the royal family. But today it’s my turn“. She said. She didn’t want to say that her friends thought that she was a lazy princess and she also couldn’t tell him that she was afraid of the river because she felt ashamed. „My Name is Shanti and I live in the Hippie Forest“, she continued and that was the only truth she told him.
„Oh I see“the handsome guy replied and lifted her up to the first big stone.
„Well I live in the coconut forest and can get you the best coconuts, if you want“he offered. „I’m a coconut farmer and my name is Jude“ he introduced himself.
„That would be amazing“ Shanti smiled thankfully and the handsome guy immediately fell in love with her.

Together they climed across the stones and Jude also helped her companions Lilly and Toulouse. Shanthi observed him and forgot totally about her fear of water because she was so amazed from his friendly soul, she could not stop looking at him.

As they arrived in the coconut forest Jude picked the best coconuts for her. Then he made a sound and two elephants appeared. „These are my companions. The big one is Sanal and the smaller one is Amlan. They will carry the coconuts for you to the Hippie Forest.“ He said kindly. The Hippie Princess was impressed and grateful. She loved elephants! But also she remembered a legend she once heard from one of the many story tellers of her Hippie Community.

The Legend says that one day a Hippie Princess and a Coconut Prince will meet, they both will have animals as companions and at first they won’t say the truth to another. But they will find their way to be together by becoming totally honest and vulnerable. The Hippie Princess will overcome her biggest fear and the Coconut Prince will join the Hippie Community.

The Hippie Princess wondered if he was the Coconut Prince, but he already said that he was a coconut farmer, so she forgot about the legend. But what Shanti didn’t know was that Jude lied. Of course he was the Coconut Prince and his name was not Jude, his name was Mosu! He should marry soon the daughter of the first coconut ranger, but because he was afraid, he lied to Shanti. He didn’t want to disappoint his parents or in general anybody. Even he was not in love with the daugther of the first coconut ranger – he loved Shanti at first sight. Unconditionally. Infinitely.

On the way back to the river, they were riding on the Elephants. Shanti and Jude/Mosu on Sanal and Toulouse and Lilly were sitting on Amlan. They talked about every possible topic but mostly they talked about their homes. So the Coconut Prince promised to visit the Hippie Princess one day in the Hippie Forest and the Hippie Princess promised to come back as soon as possible to the Coconut Forest. As they arrived at the river they recognized that it was already dark, but full moon. Shanti didn’t want to cross the river yet because she wanted to spend more time with Jude. So she lied again and said that she was too afraid to cross the river in the dark. Jude, who was not only a handsome but also very smart, knew that she lied, because of the full moon it was not dark at all… but he also wanted to spend more time with her. Luckily he knew a place near the river where they could spend the night. It was a secret beach you could only enter when it was full moon.

The animals felt the love in the air and left the two lovers alone.

Jude and Shanti were sitting at the secret beach, looking at each other in silence. The moonlight was shining on Shantis face. Jude was amazed of her beautiful face and especially her birth marks on her chin. And then something strange happened: the moonlight connected the birth marks and formed a word: „truth“. At the same time Shanti looked in Jude’s eyes. They reminded her of puppy eyes. Suddenly she saw a word in them: „vulnerable“. Now she remembered again the Legend and was sure – he was the coconut prince!

Both decided then to tell the truth and became fully vulnerable and honest.

The Legend was not a Legend anymore, it was reality. Shanti had no more fear of the water and Mosu joined the Hippie Community. Also both had the courage to fuck off the opinions of others – Shanti was a lazy Princess again and proud of it and Mosu didn’t marry the daughter of the first ranger. They both meditated every full moon together at this secret beach to remember to be honest and vulnerable.

Together with their companions, cat, dog and elephants, they lived in a tree house in a new forest: the Love Forest. It was connected with the Hippie and Coconut Forest through bridges. Of course this was the idea oft he lazy Hippie Princess, because so she never had to climb the stones again. And who built the bridges? The magic hands of the Coconut Prince for sure.

And if they didn’t die yet they live happily ever after…
